On Saturday, September 22nd, from 11am to 6pm, we’ll be hosting a walk-in workshop in partnership with the Open Lab Idaho community makerspace!
In Open Lab, we’ve been working on many ways to make cool projects at home. If you’ve been to any of our events like Maker Meetups, you might be familiar with our ability to scan anyone into a 3D file. We can then print anyone’s 3D figure on a 3D printer, and do so on a regular basis.
On the 22nd, we’d like to go step farther. We’ll have our 3D scanner set up, but instead of exporting the scan files to a 3D printer, we’ll be exporting them into plans and material to make a statue of yourself out of, well, anything. We’ll have many materials for making things available and will be providing the steps for anyone who would like to participate in making their very own clone statue.
This is a walk-in workshop, available to anyone and everyone. If you think what we’re doing is really cool, please feel free to donate a suggest amount of $10 for supplies and materials. Your support will help us do it again!
